J'ai loué 2 fois ici et n'ai eu aucun soucis. Ils ne parlent pas anglais mais utilisent un traducteur automatique au besoin. Ils peuvent fournir la carte et lecteur ETC pour utiliser les péages. Vous payez à votre retour. Le personnel est très aimable et serviable. J'ai pu réserver à l'avance par internet sans payer d'avance ce qui est pratique et rassurant. Par contre je me suis assuré d'honorer ma commande qu'il est possible d'annuler directement sur internet la veille. Très content du servi e je recommande et reviendrais.

店員さんの対応は良く、スムーズに手続き、気持ちよく乗り出しできます
他の方も書いてますが、駐車場がないので、路上で乗り出し・路上で返却です

全国各所、大概欲する場所にあります。

然しながら、こちらの恵比寿店。
駅近ではありません、
恵比寿駅東口から10分程歩きます。

が、スタッフさんの対応も臨機応変で気を悪くする事は皆無。

お勧めのレンタカー店舗です。

In the morning when we picked up the car, the staff saw me when I was trying to check the car for scratches and stopped me. He even told me not to worry and I don't need to check, isn't that against the car rental company's policy?

Our experience of returning the car was even worse. Instead of greeting us with a smile, the staff was angry from the moment he saw us because I didn't park right in front of the car rental office, for the record we were just right in front of the next building—on the side of the road since they don’t have their own parking space. I had to be the one to apologize to the staff. When I asked if he could help me get the ETC card, the clerk replied "why don't you get it yourself?" He was really rude in the way he speaks. I told him I'm a new driver and I don't know where it is because the other staff helped me put it in the morning and I didn't do it myself. He yelled at me when I asked for it again when I saw he was already holding it. I just assume it was ok to ask as I don't want to forget my ETC card. What kind of staff is yelling at the customer? I will not rent a car from this branch again due to the behavior of the staff, he seems to get angry easily. We have always rented from this branch but I will never use it again because I don't feel safe due to the behavior of the staff. The Ebisu staff has been rude to me several times, he only started acting professional when I started to tell him that he shouldn't yell at me in a firm voice because I couldn't take the negative behavior from him anymore. He even lied and said that he just "raised his voice" a little. He yelled at me and even my friends heard him. I feel bad for those people who have been mistreated but can't respond back in Japanese. Car returned on 1/9/2023, 7PM~

Update: I left my Beginner's mark and I didn't even heard from the car rental place about it. My husband went to the car rental place just now and was able to get them.

For my money, the best car rental service in Tokyo. However, prices and availability can vary.
The upsides: Good service, good cars, probably the most foreigner-friendly navigation system among the bigger car rental companies.
The downsides: Prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit. Changing booking dates can help - as can booking well in advance. Have had a couple of instances where they didn't have cars available.

When I first entered the shop, it reeked of cigarettes, in stark contrast to the poster announcing how all of Nippon car rental’s cars had become non-smoking.

While waiting for my reservation to be processed, the phone kept ringing, but no one picked it up.

I had ordered a baby seat. The first one they got out didn’t seem to fit, so they got another out of a closet where more were stacked haphazardly. Practically tossing the new one on the ground, one of their staff gave it a perfunctory cleaning with a vacuum cleaner.

When I put my baby in the seat, the shoulder belt was too loose, and didn’t do anything to restrain him. I asked the staff for help, but he said it was supposed to be loose, and couldn’t be adjusted more, and it didn’t matter anyways, as the baby seat was rear facing so my baby wouldn’t fly forward in an accident anyways.

Obviously I thought this was ridiculous, and tried to figure it out myself. Meanwhile the staff went for a smoking break right next to the closet with the baby seats, explaining the slight aroma of stale tobacco radiating from the baby seat we’d borrowed. I managed to find something on the baby seat saying that the shoulder belt must be done up snug, but I still couldn’t figure out how to do it. I asked another staff for help, and he was finally able to show how to tighten it.

All in all, this was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had, and certainly won’t be renting from here again.

We have rented a car here several times, and there has been no problems so far. The staff is friendly and helpful on phone if you need them. Even when we were stuck in traffic due to an accident, they accepted that we returned the car an hour and fifteen minutes too late for no extra charge.

They gave me a car that was clearly in an accident. When I got it, the bumper was taped on. I asked about it during the walk around, but they said don’t worry about it, it is ok”. Well, it started driving down the highway to Karuizawa and I heard a very loud scrapping noise. I stoped at the PA and I found that the inside of the bumper had fallen down and was rubbing against the tire. I pushed it back up, but during my week rental it happen numerous times.

I returned the car and told them a bout it, but they blew it off and we’re not interested. I cannot believe that they rented a car that was in an accident.

I contacted Japan rental car by email and they responded right away that they would look into it. 2 weeks after and I contact they again. They said they are still looking into it.

I know times are tough now because of COVID , but it seems that they are renting cars that are not safe and in the best condition to make a profit!!!
Very disappointed because I believed in Japanese companies.
