Renting from ACO Rent A Car Fort Lauderdale was a frustrating and disappointing experience. While the initial price seemed attractive, hidden fees and poor service ruined it.

They forced me to purchase $30/day liability coverage despite my own insurance, adding a $500 deposit as well. The pickup process was a mess—confusing instructions, long hold times, and over an hour of waiting.

The car I received was old (over 80,000 miles), dirty, and far below expectations.

I wouldn’t recommend ACO. The hidden costs, poor service, and subpar vehicle quality make it worth paying more for a reputable company..

SCAM!!!!! I booked through holidays cars for $168 and when I came here they wanted $700 in MANDATORY insurance and liability fees. We refused the rental. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!

Horrible customer service and communication from the start. The directions they gave to get to the location for shuttle pick up was not correct. Then once i arrived to the correct location to call for the shuttle it asked for a pin that they never gave which is from a third party. I had to put in a fake pin for them to at least call me back and see who I was. Simon who is the dispatcher was nothing but rude and he told me it would be 40 mins or less. In that time i watched multiple shuttles and some the same guy come pick people up. I called Simon back and states that it had been more than 40 mins and miraculously the shuttle came 3 mins after that. I finally made it to the rent a car center which does not have a live person behind a desk, its basically a zoom call. It took 20 mins to actually get an agent to pick up and everything he said to me was not accurate from the information i received on my booking voucher. There are hidden fees and false advertising of all kinds. I would have loved to cancel and get a refund except i didn't have any more time to waste to get a car. I will absolutely never use them again and i would advise you all to do the same. Please be advised i never write reviews especially bad ones, but everyone deserves to know how terrible this company is!

Travelers: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! No shuttle service (false advertisement) took an Uber to the location and there’s no office (a tented box office with two computers and you get a “virtual assistant”. This alone will stress your trip out! Don’t do it! Plus it’s dirty!

Same as other reviews. I picked up my car in daylight hours, didn’t drive it at night until I returned the car and noticed how difficult it was to see out of it. The windshield wiper fluid could not clear it up. Do NOT rent from here.

Same stuff as everyone else. Wish I had been able to see these reviews when put through from the car rental website.
Couldn't even get the car we booked. We were an hour and 15 late to get there due to the airport and shuttle delays, and were told that we had been labeled a no show and the car was gone due to being outside the 1 hour grace period. However, we had provided the flight number and they have an additional clause of honouring the reservation for two hours in this circumstance.
I will say that the virtual agent I spoke to was apologetic and pleasant to deal with, despite him not having the power to change the situation.
I'm lucky in that I didn't pay the full amount upfront. This company is a scam.

This was the most interesting car rental experience I’ve had not preferred. It’s not client facing you go in a room that’s not well air conditions. They require you to provide a declaration page as well as insurance card in addition to a 1000 security deposit, but you have options 500 and 250 which both require you to pay as additional amount. The car was high miles and stunk. I usually rent from enterprise or hertz but i had a few hours and checked with Priceline and it was cheap, but don’t let the cheap price fool you. They do offer shuttle service but no one ever came and i called to informed that I had contacted for pick up and the lady chose to argue and say i never call. I do not recommend it’s literally like being on a unmanaged car lot and in addition to having no restroom

ABSOLUTE SCAM! DO NOT RENT HERE. The "shuttle" from the airport isnt real and you need to piggy back off the neighboring car parking center. Our reservation was for a small car for 5 days for $168. When we finally got dropped off a digital kiosk with someone at a deak overseas on a camera is all that greets you. They then said we were REQUIRED to take nearly $500 of manditory insurance as well as another $250 of a security deposit. The extra insurance was MANDITORY so its a $500 extra bait and switch.
