AVIS RENT A CAR - Nassau

Nach dem wir feststellen mussten, dass das zu Fuß gehen auf den Bahamas eher schwierig ist, haben wir uns spontan entschieden einen Mietwagen zu besorgen.

Also zurück zum Flughafen und bei AVIS angefragt.
Das ganze Prozedere hat insgesamt vielleicht 10 Minuten gedauert und schon waren wir unterwegs. Super gute Erfahrung!

Auch die Rückgabe war kein Problem, getankt, Auto auf dem Parkplatz abgestellt und Schlüssel abgegeben. Keine 5 Minuten hat das ganze gedauert.

Die Damen von AVIS waren alle super freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Rented with them during our stay in Nassau, Bahamas. We had a problem with our reservation with budget and Avis was there to save the day. Eleni Mihas who was at the desk was polite with great ppl skills, we were able to book and leave with the car we wanted pain free. I would give them a 5 star except the white hyundai ascent they gave us was mechanically horrible. The motor was tired and the windshield wiper blades needed replacing. When I returned the car I told the receiving agent about the car and he said he would take care of it.

I had rented a premium class car via ebookers. Due to a flight cancellation I arrived 2 days later in Nassau. I informed ebookers of my delay on the first day and they confirmed that they had informed the local Avis of my late arrival.
The rental car I received was not only another lower class, my suitcases barely fit in it. The car wouldn't start (dead battery) and when I asked the unfriendly lady at the counter she gave me a smaller car. They didn't even try to offer an alternative the next day. It was take it or leave it.
I would have to pile some of the suitcases on my children in the back seat. And the air conditioning in the car didn't work properly at 35 degrees and over 80% humidity in Nassau.
In my opinion, such unprofessional and unfriendly treatment is a no-go for an international company like AVIS. I am also not informed about the price discount for the low class car. I don't know how much it cost.
On ebookers I still see a charge for the premium class rental.
For me the last time that I book with Avis

Fantastic customer service. We arrived after the office had closed, but as promised the keys were where we were told they would be and we were on our way in no time. The car was clean and well maintained. The office also facilitated a drop off at the Moorings dock so we did not have to return the car to the airport. Great communications with the office - superior service. Thank you!

The car was clean, however thanks to all the giant potholes, I ended up with a flat. The spare tire had VERY low pressure, barely made it to the airport. They really need to make sure that the spares are good to go, given the road conditions. That said, people are pretty friendly and pick up and drop off is fast and efficient.

Flying in Sunday, and my flight from MIA was delayed multiple times. Finally, it looked like I would arrive after Avis closed and I wouldn't be able to get my rental car until the next morning. I called and wow, am I happy I did! Melonie and Dion stayed late so that I could pick up my car. They were professional, friendly, and quick. Thank you so much! In addition, my car is immaculately clean.

We booked our rental through Expedia for Nassau Bahamas at the airport. There wasn't a long line. Service was okay. We got in and out fairly quickly. We got a suzuki swift. It wasn't in the best condition but served its purpose. Our car had roaches in it. 1 time I got out to check in to our hotel. When I came back to get our luggage a roach had climbed into my coffee mug. Another time my daughter found one in the back seat.
