We eat at the restaurant. The food was delicious. We even eat the sauce cup. High price but it is worth it. The service is friendly and in front of the lake. We really enjoyed

Small town atmosphere, well maintained and friendly service. Stayed here on a business trip. Rooms are immaculately maintained, clean and functional. Windows open and allow for fresh air. Big bathrooms spacious and functional. Walking distance to REWE supermarket and restaurants. Fish restaurant right there in the hotel serving fresh fish.||Breakfast was very nice. Excellent selection of meats, cheeses and breads. Eggs made to order. Very prompt, precise and friendly service that is efficient.||Set on the shore of Lake Schaalsee. Ofcourse would have been a much more enjoyable experience in summer.||Moderate prices. Overall a very positive experience.

I stayed here with a friend (German) for 2 nights. Just checked out yesterday actually. I thought this was a very nice place to stay. The options are quite limited in Zarrentin, especially in the center. The staff was very friendly and the man who I think was the owner was on the property almost all the time. They had a couple of weddings there and the site was beautiful for weddings. As a note, there's so many nice walks to take and we took a great 45 minute boat ride for 9 euro but generally speaking the town could use a few more restaurants and shops. So if you are going, be prepared the Fischhaus might be the only decent place for dinner. 🙂 The other restaurant (not cafe) was closed for a private party the 2nd night of our stay so we went back to Fischhaus. Not that the food was bad, but it would have been nice to have a bit more variety. 🙂 That's not the fault of the hotel, however, and I'd recommend anyone staying there. Friendly, clean, reasonably priced and great location. Enjoy! NOTE: No a/c as is pretty typical. There was a fan in the room but if you were there on HOT days, you'd be very hot, in my opinion. It was in the 60s when we were there and although it cooled down, it didn't cool the room down that much PLUS keeping the window open for cooling purposes meant noise coming in...just FYI for those very heat sensitive. 🙂

I visited this small hotel in connection with my work. The staff is very friendly. The hotel rooms are of a good size with a nice bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant. They do know how to serve their fish. We are in the country side of what was the former east Germany. The serving are generous.

I stopped by for a lunch and i was not dissapointed. The have excellent kitchen and the fact that it is located on a lake ensures good fish. Don't miss it, of you are in the area.I would definitely come back. Make sure you check the historic photos on the walls.

Good German food. My pork roast was good if a bit bland. The fish looked must better. I guess Fischhaus is a hint for what best to order. Nice comfortable restaurant for a family meal.
