I do not recommend renting from this Hertz location if possible.
My husband and I rented from this location back in October and only just now settled the false charges added to our bill.
Immediately after drop-off, a false charge was placed on our bill for around $900. I don't believe they expected us to return however we did and had the inspector show us what this charge was for. The inspector pointed out a tiny mark where some of the clear coat had been rubbed off but did not penetrate the paint's surface. This is normal wear & tear and something that is reasonable to expect by normal use of driving a vehicle. In accordance with Hertz's own Terms and Conditions, this is not chargeable.
Upon returning home to the states, we noticed an additional false charge that had been added to our bill of $80 stating that we were late in dropping off our vehicle so they charged us an additional day. This was also false as we had dropped the car off 2 hours prior to the drop off time. Almost 2 months later and I believe we have everything settled.
This situation was so disappointing to see on the base but it also prevented us from a day of travel on our trip overseas because of how difficult the staff made things for us. I recommend renting elsewhere.

My experience with this location has been a very positive experience. I had to rent long term while on base, and they have been very responsive and flexible to my needs. I believe the entire staff has been changed over from the old reviews due to bad customer service. Chris has been very helpful from my time renting here.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO HERE! They will tell you wrong information, charge you extra, and ultimately screw you over. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. It is a shame that this is the service that we as military service members receive.

I was told by Gabi that I would have an extra 4 hours because of my Amex platinum card, and then I called to confirm, and they told me that I would be charged an extra day. Do not spend money with these people, go off base at all costs.

*Hi people. Don't ignore those reviews!* We rent a car from Graf Hertz for pcs and that was great experience until we returned it to Ramstein Hertz. They just straight charged us 400 extra euro. We took pictures of car as soon as we rent it, so we had proof. We requested Hertz to explain why they charged us extra, but they never replied on that LOL. And we came to US and called to US Hertz and they said they can't help anything because it's German Hertz. So just be careful, they are gonna 100% charge you.

I had a very good experience with Hertz in the community center. My requested car was waiting for me. Returning the car was super simple. They emailed my final receipt, which was consistent with the quote. My rental was about half the price I was quoted at Sixt, but the one model I rented from Hertz was much cheaper than all other models on the Hertz website. Odd, but I’m not complaining. Thank you!
