We had a great experience with Todd and Katie during the home purchasing process for M/I Homes Forest Park. They were professional, knowledgeable, and always quick to respond, making the whole process smooth and easy for us.

However, our experience took a turn when it came to the post-purchase service. We had a significant issue with the drainage in our yard, which became muddy and puddled up every time it rained. John, our builder manager, acknowledged the problem when a grader was brought in and confirmed the issue. John said it would be fixed, but unfortunately, he never followed through. We reached out to Stephen from the service team, but he failed to address the issue as well.

We even filled out positive reviews, reassured by the team that everything would be taken care of. Now, with our one-year warranty almost up, we’re left with the same drainage issue and no follow-up or resolution. At our warranty meeting with Jacob, we found out that Jonathan and Stephen had denied there were any drainage problems in their internal notes, despite everything we had discussed and confirmed.

It’s incredibly disappointing to feel misled and ignored after being told the issue would be resolved. We’re grateful for the positive aspects of our experience with Todd and Katie, but the lack of follow-through and communication from the service team, especially with an ongoing issue like this, has been frustrating.

We absolutely love M/I Homes! By far some of the most beautiful home designs I’ve ever seen. I’m so over the ugly poorly built homes that look like they went up in 4 seconds. Not with this company!
