Name klingt zwar ein bisschen zwielichtig, tatsächlich handelt es sich hier aber um die kompetenteste Autovermietung bei der ich je Kunde war. Das Büro befindet sich unweit vom FH, der Besitzer ist sehr freundlicher und fair, die Autos im guten Zustand. Wir hatten im Yosemite NP eine Panne und uns wurde sehr schnell und unkomplizierte geholfen. Die Vermietung ist außerdem für <25 Jährige sehr interessant, da keine Jungfahrergebühr (wie sonst üblich) erhoben wird. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Located just a BART stop (public transport train) away from the San Francisco Airport, I was able to pick up a clean, comfy and fuel efficient car during my one-week visit to Northern California.

The owner, Steve, is friendly and super professional.

This company has locations near San Francisco and Los Angeles— definitely worth the extra steps to save significant money!

Although the name of this car company isn't immediately confidence-inspiring, I gotta say I was pretty impressed! By far the best value option for car rentals at SFO, Super Cheap Car Rentals really provided excellent service and value. I was picked up at the airport within minutes of arrival and was on the road within about 15 minutes thereafter. The vehicle itself was a Ford Fiesta that looked like it had seen some better days, but really what can you expect for $40 USD/day. Filling up the gas tank at San Francisco prices was almost more expensive! Everything seemed to work as it was supposed to, although there was no remote control to unlock/lock the car, and deciphering the audio control panel took a bit of work (though this is a Ford issue and not a problem with the car rental company). I essentially drove all the way down to Big Sur and back to SFO without any issues at all! Dropping off the car was likewise a breeze, and the car rental place is right across the street from the BART station so it was easy to get into downtown San Francisco afterwards. Would definitely recommend this place if you're a budget-minded person renting a car in the SFO area and don't really car about getting a top of the line new vehicle.

TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE
I would give a NEGATIVE 5 star review if I could. I don't recommend this place! You get what you pay for. SUPER CHEAP CARS. UNRELIABLE. BREAKS DOWN! We ALMOST DIED because of their poorly maintained car. Its a small company, so there isn't much help when the car breaks down too. Pay a few more dollars for peace of mind
... rather than make you do most of the work and leave you traumatized!

WHY WRITE A REVIEW?
It has taken me a year to finally write this review as a result of all the PTSD I had from renting a car here. I don't normally write bad reviews because things happen or people have bad days. My interaction with the owner, Supercheap Steve, and his response (especially when it was time to get reimbursed) is worth writing about. The cheap price doesn't outweigh the emotional distress and time spent being frustrated when something does happen ... which is always a possibility. It happened to us. It's not worth the few extra dollars saved! Get a car from a bigger company with better customer service.

I hope no one has to go through what I went through.

I am not surprised by the nature in which the owner responded below. He acted as if he was doing us a favor the entire time, when in actuality, it was his responsibility. IT WAS NOT AS EASEFUL AND EFFORTLESS AS THE MESSAGE CLAIMS. In fact, it was the complete opposite.

and you decide if this is the kind of person you would want to deal with in the middle of an emergency.

Here are a few examples:
1. being told that "I needed to figure it out because his wife was getting mad at him for working during their move"

2. the owner creating a kayak account under my name without my consent

3. the owner not answering my calls unless I blocked my number when we started talking about reimbursements
